Our 50th Anniversary Party!

It was nice to see so many people at the Louisville Palace Theater on Saturday, September 19th to show support for our Club and its 50th Anniversary. There were approximately 100 people in attendance for our special party. Since Mother Nature was good to us, we had 32 Porsches parked right out in front of the magnificent Palace. This National Historic Landmark, which was built in 1928, made for an excellent venue for our party.

We had a roaming magician, a live jazz band, dinner in the "Faces Lobby", video presentation of our club's history, special commemorative gifts, drawings for doors prizes, plus awards presentations for our 50th Anniversary and our new website (KyPCA.org). The Kentucky Region Porsche Club was one of the earliest clubs to be formed in the United States. This day would have also been Dr. Ferry Porsche's 100th Birthday and therefore we had a special toast with wine before dinner. Ken Hold, our Zone Representative, was in attendance as well as past Presidents. Everyone looked really sharp all dressed up and I believe that everyone had a great time.

Many thanks again to Mark Lichtefeld for donating the use of the Palace for our party. In addition, a special "thank you very much" again to the Committee Members who volunteered all the time and effort that it took to make this special event! So, when's the next party!?
